Three new additions to Art Motile's AIR Database.

Cal Gras is a cultural hostel in Avinyó, a quiet rural village with a population of 2,000 in the province of Barcelona. Although the centre operates as a hostel, its focus isn't tourist accommodation but rather artistic and cultural activities. Read more about Cal Gras here.

FelipaManuela is an artistic production space in Madrid which offers residence for artists, curators and other cultural workers to develop site-specific projects and form connections with the local artistic community. Read more about FelipaManuela here.

Jiwar is located in the thriving artistic centre of Gràcia in Barcelona. The programme aims to establish a creative and sustainable relationship between artists and the surrounding community. The programme prioritises artistic and social projects involving intercultural and interdisciplinary issues, and believes in sharing artistic and life experiences and feeding them into the surrounding environment. Read more about Jiwar here.

AIR ARRAY: Meeting of AIR Programmes and Mobility Workshop for Artists


Art Motile and Matadero Madrid present AIR ARRAY, a three-day event focused on artist in residence programmes and artist mobility. The event consists of two main activities: a two-day meeting for AIR programmes and a half-day mobility workshop for artists. The event will take place on the 9th, 10th and 11th of March 2015 at Matadero Madrid and Casa de Velázquez - Académie de France à Madrid.
