The Museo Nacional Centro de Arte Reina Sofía has announced a call for five research residency grants.

The Museo Reina Sofía Research Residency Program brings together national and international specialists and artists who use their projects to critically and imaginatively analyse and present significant aspects of contemporary culture. With this project, the Museum is promoting experimental learning methods related to their education and exhibition programs, while exploring new ways of thinking about the institution.

During their stay researchers join the Museum community, working alongside exceptional graduate and doctoral students from the Study Centre. At the end of the residency, the participants offer an activity open to public participation, presenting the results of their research.

Deadline:

January 31st 2012.

Residency Period:

Two months between October 1st 2012 and June 30th 2013.

AIR ARRAY: Meeting of AIR Programmes and Mobility Workshop for Artists


Art Motile and Matadero Madrid present AIR ARRAY, a three-day event focused on artist in residence programmes and artist mobility. The event consists of two main activities: a two-day meeting for AIR programmes and a half-day mobility workshop for artists. The event will take place on the 9th, 10th and 11th of March 2015 at Matadero Madrid and Casa de Velázquez - Académie de France à Madrid.
