Espacio Único is an artist in residence programme run by the theatre group Albadulake. Based in Caucos de Yuste, a rural area one hour away from Madrid, Spain, the residency is located in the same centre where the group has its creation and rehearsal space. The programme seeks exchange among national and international artists through performing arts and music while also contributing to the local cultural scene.

Surrounded by open countryside and woods, Espacio Único is a 150m2 building featuring a 55m2 stage with wooden floor (ideal for dance, flamenco, circus and any other activity that requires a solid floor) and sound and lighting equipment. Espacio Único also has its own garden that provides an abundance of organic fruits and vegetables.

The programme offer three types of residencies: production residencies, creation and research residencies and workshops.

The current open call is for carrying out residencies between September 2012 and May 2013.
