BaumannLab is hosting three workshops for artists in residence, cultural producers, collectives and organisations developing an artistic, creative process or a specific project.

Part of the Youth and Leisure Service established by the City hall of Terrassa (Barcelona), BaumannLab is a laboratory for young creators focusing on the production and support of multi-disciplinary art, with an emphasis on visual arts and contemporary thought.

BaumannLab’s artist in residence programme is also a tool to link cultural agents, organisations and institutions, to promote research on new forms of collaboration in a diverse and pluralistic context.

The call for grants and residencies has two parts:

• Studios for artists and projects in residence: three workshops (30, 24 and 18 m2) for individual or shared use for a period of between one month and one year.
• Grants for projects related to visual arts or contemporary thought for artists under 20 years (€700) and over 20 years (€1,500).

Both parts provide access to the Media Lab and its equipment, and also provide an opportunity to work with the Youth and Leisure Service and the network of organisations from Terrassa which BaumannLab currently collaborates with.

A selection committee will decide the winning projects.

June 8th 2012.
