Hangar is offering granted residencies in six different countries for Spanish artists or artists from abroad residing in Spain.

Through its grant programme, Hangar Art Production Center collaborates with art centers all over the world, through residency exchanges and by participating in joint research and creative experimentation projects.

The grants offered are:

Smart Project Space (Amsterdam). Grant of €3,000, accommodation (+ €1,500) and studio for a residency to develop an art project over the course of 3 months. Applicants must speak fluent English.

Seoul Art Space Geumcheon (Seoul). Grant of €3,500, accommodation and studio for a residency to develop an art project on urban research for 3 months. Applicants must speak fluent English.

Tokyo Wonder Site (Tokyo). Grant of €3,500, accommodation and studio for a residency to develop an art project for 3 months. Applicants must speak fluent English.

Plataforma Cultural Digital (Santiago de Chile). Grant of €3,000, accommodation and studio for a residency to develop a project on art-science-technology for 3 months. The resident is asked to facilitate a workshop during his/her stay.

Greatmore Studios (Cape Town). Grant of €3,000, accommodation and studio for a residency to develop an artistic project for 3 months. This grant is supported by the African House of Barcelona. Applicants must speak fluent English.

ADM Art Center (Mexico DF). Grant of €3,000, accommodation and studio for a residency to develop an artistic project for 3 months. As ADM art center specializes in electronic arts, priority will be given to artists who develop their work in the following areas: video, sound art, photography, net art, expanded cinema, graphics.

• April 12th 2012 (Amsterdam, Seoul, Tokyo)
• May 1st 2012(Santiago de Chile, Cape Town, Mexico)

AIR ARRAY: Meeting of AIR Programmes and Mobility Workshop for Artists


Art Motile and Matadero Madrid present AIR ARRAY, a three-day event focused on artist in residence programmes and artist mobility. The event consists of two main activities: a two-day meeting for AIR programmes and a half-day mobility workshop for artists. The event will take place on the 9th, 10th and 11th of March 2015 at Matadero Madrid and Casa de Velázquez - Académie de France à Madrid.
