The Blueproject Foundation is a private non-profit organization based in Barcelona, whose main aim is to support national and international artistic creation. This support is implemented through a residency program that aims to help present and disseminate relevant artwork and offer a reflection on current aesthetic, social, and intellectual problems. With 500 square meters spread over two floors, The Blueproject Foundation offers a lively environment that serves as an experimental laboratory for new ideas and a useful platform for young artists. The large exhibition area of the foundation is divided into two complementary spaces. Il Salotto is reserved for the most celebrated artists and iconic works, while the Sala Project is characterised by its multidisciplinary dimension. The Sala Project presents the most innovative and cutting edge proposals of the Blueproject Foundation. With 190m² at the disposal of emerging young talents, as well as more established artists, the space is capable of hosting collaborative projects, exhibitions, or works of art conceived in El Taller.

Duration of stays: A maximum of one month.

Cost: There is no cost involved for artists to stay.

Grants: The Blueproject Foundation offers a programme of annual (November - January) calls for artists open to all formats, ideas, and artistic and cultural proposals. The artists will be selected on the basis of the quality and excellence of their projects. The people or groups chosen will enjoy a month-long residency in El Taller before exhibiting the resulting works in the Sala Project.

Selection Procedure: The selection is made by a jury of professionals from outside the foundation who evaluate the proposals according to the space of the foundation, the line of work developed so far by exhibitions in Il Salotto and Sala Project and according to their personal criteria.

Artists in turn agree to allow their name to be mentioned in addition to graphic reproduction of their work for any kind of diffusion or publication Blueproject Foundation sees fit. The selected project will be developed on time and on budget for the smooth running of the residence and subsequent exhibition. The selected artists agree to make good use of the facilities and equipment provided for the development of their proposal.
