ABOUT THE RESIDENCY:

Rural C / Rural Contemporánea is a non-profit association which was legally constituted in January 2011, although projects have been developed since 2002. Directed by professional specialists in cultural agitation and working from different venues around Spain, it involves citizens' associations in developing socio-cultural activities and networking in rural areas. Its main objective is to promote contemporary art in rural environments, creating networks with other rural and urban areas at a regional, national and international level.

The Rural C team accompanies artists during the production of their projects and offers consulting services in order for the projects to be developed in the appropriate surroundings, while assisting in the search for spaces, links with the community and funding.

The selected project is presented publicly in a place decided by agreement between the artist and Rural C. Project documentation is published on the Rural C's website and on various social networks.
