ABOUT THE RESIDENCY:

FelipaManuela - Contemporary Art Residencies offers residencies for artists, curators and other cultural agents. It is a private initiative that was established in Madrid in July 2011 with the aim of supporting artistic creation and exchange among art and culture practitioners from different parts of the world. Since 2013, FelipaManuela has expanded its range of activity, offering residencies not only in Madrid but also in other cities in Spain.

FelipaManuela runs the artistic research residency programme Sweet Home, in collaboration with Hablar en Arte and will soon be launching the residency programme La Beltraneja in Santillana del Mar, Cantabria.

FACILITIES:

FelipaManuela's Madrid facilities are divided between the main house, which includes accommodation and a work space, and workshops in other spaces and institutions around the city.

Accommodation: 70m² flat with two individual bedrooms, living room, shared bathroom and kitchen.

Studios: The living room is used as a common room. For those artists in need of a studio, FelipaManuela manages a workplace outside the residence in collaboration with other spaces or city institutions.

Work Facilities: The residence is in charge of managing the work space, tools and any other technical needs of the artists in residence.

Access / Artists with families: Please contact the residency for information regarding accommodation for artists with reduced mobility and those with families.

Duration of stays: One or two months.

Selection Procedure: By invitation. There are also regular open calls throughout the year.
